Boston Proper to Partner with Direct Tech to Optimize Inventory Planning

May 27, 2011 – Boston Proper, a prominent catalog and ecommerce retailer serving the women’s fashion market, has joined the growing roster of leading multichannel marketers to utilize Direct Tech’s merchandising, demand forecasting and inventory optimization software.

The company, based in Boca Raton, Florida, will be installing Direct Tech’s AllChannel™Suite, which will allow Boston Proper to organize and manage all aspects of merchandise analysis and planning, demand forecasting, and purchasing for its catalog and ecommerce channels.

Boston Proper will use Direct Tech’s Forecast*21 module to enhance its demand planning, inventory scheduling, and purchasing. The Merchandise Assortment Planning component will be utilized to assist with merchandise profit analysis and assortment planning. These solutions will allow Boston Proper to effectively manage its merchandise assortments, increase sales and profits, reduce backorders, and improve cash flow.
