South Africa’s Largest Direct Retailer, HomeChoice Selects Direct Tech’s Inventory Planning Solutions
May 27, 2011 – HomeChoice, the leading multichannel retailer in South Africa, has chosen to implement Direct Tech’s industry-leading merchandise planning, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization solutions. The move is the culmination of a thorough evaluation by the HomeChoice team, that reviewed potential solutions from suppliers in several countries.
Direct Tech is currently expanding its solutions and services to international markets. HomeChoice is Direct Tech’s first customer based outside the United States.
HomeChoice will be implementing Direct Tech’s AllChannel™Suite, providing the tools to organize and manage all aspects of merchandise analysis and planning, demand forecasting, and purchasing for their direct retail business. Forecast*21 will be used for demand planning and inventory scheduling and purchasing. Merchandise Assortment Planning and Page Analysis will be used for merchandise profit analysis and assortment planning. Together, these solutions will allow them to effectively manage their merchandise assortments, increase sales and profits, reduce backorders, and improve cash flow. HomeChoice seeks to leverage Direct Tech’s U.S. retail expertise by adopting prevailing best practices for inventory optimization and efficient merchandise planning.
