New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA)
NEMOA was founded in 1947 as the New England Mail Order Association. Today, NEMOA is one of the nation's most active multichannel merchant associations dedicated exclusively to the catalog/multichannel industry. Their mission is "Creating Community in a Multichannel World". They create community through two educational conferences each year where NEMOA member companies come from all across the US and Canada. Over the past 61 years, NEMOA has not only grown beyond New England, but its membership has also become more diversified, including printers, list brokers, service bureaus and other suppliers to mail order businesses. Its focus remains catalog and direct e-tail companies, large and small.
The American Catalog Mailers Association (ACMA)
The American Catalog Mailers Association (ACMA) is the Primary Voice of the Catalog Industry. Its mission is to provide its members with representation on issues that directly concern their immediate and long term commercial interests.
The ACMA's diverse membership includes Catalog Mailers, Printers, Paper companies, Database and other service providers. Whenever possible, the ACMA works closely with other industry organizations and associations to advocate the industry's collective interests.
The Catalogue Exchang e (CatEx)
CatEx is a not-for-profit trade body established in the U.K. in 2004 with the specific aim of supporting businesses in all areas of the catalogue and online retail community. CatEx primarily exists to facilitate vital networking between its members by bringing together some of the most knowledgeable and passionate individuals in the industry. It also offers instant access to the latest advice and information through its website and online forum, where businesses can seek and exchange ideas.
National Retail Federation (NRF)
The National Retail Federation is the world's largest retail trade association, with membership that comprises all retail formats and channels of distribution including department, specialty, discount, catalog, Internet, independent stores, chain restaurants, drug stores, and grocery stores as well as the industry's key trading partners of retail goods and services. NRF represents an industry with more than 1.6 million U.S. retail companies, more than 25 million employees - about one in five American workers - and 2007 sales of $4.5 trillion. As the industry umbrella group, NRF also represents over 100 state, national and international retail associations.
Direct Marketing Association (DMA)
The Direct Marketing Association is the leading global trade association of business and nonprofit organizations using and supporting direct marketing tools and techniques. DMA advocates industry standards for responsible marketing, promotes relevance as the key to reaching consumers with desirable offers, and provides cutting-edge research, education, and networking opportunities to improve results throughout the entire direct marketing process. Founded in 1917, DMA today has more than 3,600 members from the US and 46 other nations, including the majority of companies listed on the Fortune 100.
